SitterSide Privacy Policy

Last updated October 7 2026

SitterSide is an app from Marshall McKinley Works for preparing care and household information to share with people you choose. Its core features work offline without an account, an app-operated backend, CloudKit sync, or an AI service.

Information stored on your device

SitterSide stores the profiles and information you create locally on your device. This can include information about kids, pets, your home, plants, and yard; photos you select; packet contacts; and an optional recipient name. Include only information you are comfortable keeping on the device and sharing with the intended recipient.

Photos are selected through the system photo picker. SitterSide receives the photos you choose. The app does not use a camera feature. The fictional sample packet does not save personal profile information.

Saved packets and sharing

A saved packet is a dated snapshot of the information included when it was created. Editing a profile later does not update an existing snapshot. Create and review a new packet when instructions or contact details change.

You choose whether to export a packet as a PDF or text and which app, service, or recipient receives it. Recipients do not need SitterSide to read the exported information. Review each packet before sharing, especially information about children, contacts, or your home.

A shared PDF or text copy is outside SitterSide’s control. SitterSide cannot revoke it, remotely delete it, or automatically update it after you make changes. The destination you choose handles the information under its own privacy practices.

Local backup and restore

You can create a backup file containing profiles, photos, and saved packets, and select a supported file to restore. Photos are included inside the backup. The app validates a selected backup and presents a preview before you confirm restoration.

Treat a backup as sensitive because it may contain the same information as your profiles and packets. Protect the device and the place where you save it. Saving to a cloud drive or sharing the file gives that provider or recipient a copy. Removing information in the app does not remove previously exported backups.

Deleting information

Deleting a saved packet removes that packet from the app while leaving your reusable profiles, drafts, and other saved packet snapshots in place. Deleting a packet also does not remove PDFs or text you already shared.

To remove the app’s local data from the device, delete the app through iOS. Offloading the app keeps its documents and data. Separately remove exports and backup files from the locations where you saved them, and ask recipients to remove their copies when appropriate. Keep a backup first if you intend to restore your information later.

Support messages and diagnostics

If you contact us, we receive your email address, message, and any files or details you choose to send. We use that information to respond and troubleshoot. Please avoid sending passwords, access codes, or information about other people that is not needed for your request.

Apple may separately process diagnostics, usage information, or feedback through its own services and make reports available to us. We use reports we receive to investigate problems and improve SitterSide. Apple’s handling is described in its privacy information.

You can email us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold. We cannot remotely remove files from your device, your chosen storage providers, or another person’s copies.
