About this policy

OTdex is provided by Marshall McKinley Works LLC. This policy covers the OTdex app and support communications with us. It does not cover third-party apps or websites you choose to use.

Information in the app

You do not need to register or create an account to use OTdex. The app is designed for offline reference use.

Saved-reference information, collections, app preferences and information about imported reference packs are stored locally on your device. OTdex does not automatically send this information to us or synchronize it with an account. The app does not use an analytics SDK or connect to an AI service.

Sharing and exports

OTdex can create a JSON backup of saved-reference information and collection organization. This backup includes reference identifiers, revisions, saved metadata and collection details. It does not include clinical reference text.

Separate PDF report actions can include selected reference content permitted for export, citations and relevant safety, population and jurisdiction notices. Unavailable or restricted entries receive citation or availability notes instead of reproduced content. Collection reports can include the collection names and organization you create.

Where export is permitted, protected publisher handouts remain unchanged separate files with any required context documents. They are not merged into generated collection reports.

PDF reports are prepared locally. You review the report, then choose Save to Files, Share or Print. Other available resource sharing and missing-term requests also require your choice of destination. A missing-term request prepares your current search query; it does not send it automatically. OTdex does not automatically send these files or upload them to an app server.

Save to Files creates a PDF when no separate attachments are needed, or a folder containing the report and separate documents when they are required. Share supplies separate files. Print submits separate documents, with required context companions before source attachments. These documents are not merged into protected publisher pages.

The destination you choose may receive the exported content. Review it before continuing. The receiving app or service handles it under its own privacy practices. Use generic collection names; patient-identifying information is not needed to use these functions.

External source links

OTdex includes links to source websites. Opening one takes you to a service outside OTdex. That website may receive standard network information, such as your IP address and browser or device details, and may use cookies or other technologies under its own privacy policy.

When you contact support

If you email support@marshallmckinleyworks.com, we receive your email address, your message and any attachments you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request and provide support. Our email service provider processes correspondence to deliver and store it.

We do not have access to your locally saved OTdex information unless you choose to share it with us. Please do not send patient-identifying information, passwords, payment card details or other sensitive information in a support request.

We retain support correspondence for as long as needed to respond to and resolve your request and to meet applicable legal obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of your support correspondence. We may need to retain information when applicable law requires it.

Local storage and backups

You can remove saved references and collections in the app. Removing a saved reference also removes it from your collections. Deleting a collection removes that collection, not the saved references it contained.

Clearing a downloaded reference pack removes its downloaded content. The app keeps a small record of pack versions and integrity checks to handle updates and withdrawals correctly.

Preparing an export may create temporary files on your device. OTdex attempts to clean these up when you dismiss the export or leave the view. Cleanup is best effort and is not a promise of secure deletion.

Device backups may include local app information, depending on your device, operating system and backup settings. Removing information in OTdex does not recall exported files, original imported files, shared or printed copies, or copies retained by a backup or sharing provider.

For help managing locally saved information, email support@marshallmckinleyworks.com. We cannot remotely view or remove data stored only on your device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when OTdex or our information practices change. The current policy will be available on this page.
