About these terms
OTdex is provided by Marshall McKinley Works LLC. These terms explain its intended use and important limitations. Applicable app-store license terms and the licenses attached to third-party materials continue to apply.
Medical disclaimer
OTdex provides educational and reference information only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and does not replace individualized assessment or the judgment of a licensed clinician. Clinical use, including exercise programs and precautions, must be reviewed and selected by an appropriately licensed clinician for the individual’s needs, medical orders and circumstances. Students must use the material under appropriate clinical supervision.
Resources for the app user
OTdex’s own guides and collection reports are professional education and reference resources for the app user. They are not intended as patient materials, patient-specific instructions or prescribed treatment plans.
Third-party documents originally authored as patient handouts retain their original labeling and licenses. An appropriately licensed clinician must review a document’s suitability for the individual before using it with anyone.
Professional and student use
Occupational therapy professionals, assistants and students can use OTdex as an educational reference within their professional role. Clinical decisions must stay within each person’s professional role, scope of practice and required supervision or delegation. OTdex does not authorize independent practice outside those limits.
Read each resource’s full context, sources and cautions. A reference example or image is not an individualized exercise program, precaution list or care plan. Check current original sources and relevant clinical guidance before applying information.
Consult a doctor in addition to using OTdex and before making medical decisions. Do not delay appropriate medical assessment because of information in the app. OTdex is not an emergency-response service.
Third-party sources and permitted sharing
Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses, attribution requirements and notices. These terms do not reduce rights those licenses grant or expand rights they do not grant. A source link is not a claim that its author or publisher endorses OTdex.
Where an export is available and permitted, review its contents and retain the source credits and notices required by the applicable license. Read the complete clinical context before using a resource. Access to a file or an export control does not establish suitability for an individual.
Permitted publisher handouts stay unchanged and separate from generated reports, with any required companion context. An available generated report includes only content permitted for that export and may show citation or availability notes for restricted items.
External websites and sharing destinations have their own terms and privacy practices. Their content and availability may change.
